Scheduled for 2024, the Arts Council of Midland is acquiring the historic Old Midland home known as the Scarborough-Linebery House Complex. The property covers five buildings throughout the acreage, including the circa 1907 Scarborough Historical House, serving as a local example of ranch-style architecture characteristic of early-day West Texas cattlemen. The area belonged to the same family for 90 years before being donated to the City of Midland. This property contains the second-oldest home in Midland, Texas (circa 1906) and over ten thousand square feet of buildings, on more than two and a half acres.
